Well who would have thought, way back then (in 1991) that some 22 years later, my music tutor and I would have put together a website teaching people all over the world how to play this stuff?
This is a photo I took this morning of the worksheet that John Branton gave me at one of my lessons.
As you can see the date is 18 Sep 1991.
According to http://www.thisdayinmusic.com , nothing else significant in music took place on that day, but it was the same day (in 1970) that Jimmy Hendrix died.
Back in those days Google didn’t even exist. In fact, Google was not to arrive until Sep 1998, some 7 years later, by which time I was of course an accomplished boogie woogie pianist lol!
Anyway, I thought the followers of this site might be interested in this.
I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank my music mentor, Dr John Branton. Without him, this post, and this site, would not exist. Neither would my piano playing skills!
